What air conditioning in Mickleham involves
Air conditioning in Mickleham is really three tickets in one job. The refrigerant work needs an ARCtick licence, the install itself needs VBA registration, and the electrical side has to be done by a Registered Electrical Contractor. Thunderman holds all three, so the unit, the dedicated circuit and the switchboard side are handled by one person, with no juggling a salesperson and a subcontractor.
Yiannis sizes the system to the room rather than over-selling it, installs split, multi-head and ducted systems cleanly, and tests everything before he leaves. He also services and repairs existing aircon. Through a Mickleham summer, that means cooling installed right, running efficiently, and compliant on both the electrical and refrigerant fronts.

Why Mickleham is its own job
Around Mickleham Crossroads and the streets feeding into it, the builder-grade boards were already specified with safety switches but with no headroom for the load a household actually runs. The ducted reverse-cycle compressor cycling on a forty-degree afternoon is why an EV wallbox in these estates needs load-management firmware that lets it throttle. Ducted and split-system aircon is among what gets booked most here, and the supply side is the electrical half of each job. Yiannis is ARCtick certified, holds REC 28523, and takes calls from across the postcode regularly.

Air Conditioning in Mickleham — common questions
Do you handle both the aircon and its electrical work in Mickleham?
Yiannis does. He is a licensed electrician (REC 28523) and ARCtick certified, which means the unit, its dedicated circuit and the switchboard work are one booking and one accountable person.
Why does ARCtick certification matter for a Mickleham install?
Not legally, no. An electrician can run the circuit; only an ARCtick-certified person may handle the refrigerant. Yiannis holds both, which is why the compliance paperwork on an aircon install comes from one person rather than two.
Can you repair an aircon that has stopped cooling in Mickleham?
Yes. Servicing, maintenance and repairs for split, multi-head and ducted systems.
Who is the best electrician in Mickleham?
Thunderman is owner-operated. Yiannis Knodarites holds REC 28523 and does the work himself, so there is no subcontractor to blame and no call centre in between. Whether that suits your job in Mickleham is worth a phone call, and the quote costs nothing. 0434 254 474.
Does Thunderman cover Mickleham?
It does. Mickleham is roughly 6 km from the Craigieburn base and part of the normal week. If the timing does not work, Yiannis says so rather than leaving you waiting.
Do you take urgent call-outs in Mickleham?
Thunderman prioritises emergency call-outs across Mickleham. Yiannis will not quote an arrival time he cannot stand behind — but the phone is answered by the man who does the work, and Volt, the chat assistant here, is available any hour.
Will I get a surprise invoice in Mickleham?
Thunderman does not publish figures, because a figure given without seeing the job is a guess dressed up as a promise. What you get in Mickleham is a free assessment, a plain-English explanation of what the work involves, and a quote you approve first.
Is Thunderman insured for work in Mickleham?
Yes. The licence, REC 28523, is public — look it up. The public liability insurance is current. And the work is certified on completion, which is the part that protects you with an insurer years later.
What paperwork do I get after the job in Mickleham?
Certification is not optional in Victoria for fixed electrical work, and Thunderman treats it that way. The Certificate of Electrical Safety is lodged when the job is finished, and a copy is yours to keep.
